Food Hygiene Level 1
Our Food Hygiene / Food Safety course covers all the basics on food preparation, regulations, precautions and care when preparing food for others. It is designed to meet the requirements of various regulations in food preparation and health and safety. The course covers regulations, preparation, storage, infections, cross contamination, reporting, PPE, date marks, reporting illness and basic first aid in the kitchen.
Food Safety Level 2
Our Food Hygiene course covers all the basics on food preparation, regulations, precautions and care when preparing food for others. It is designed to meet the requirements of various regulations in food preparation and health and safety. The course covers regulations, preparation, storage, infections, cross contamination, reporting, PPE, date marks, reporting illness and basic first aid in the kitchen.
The certificate is valid for 3 years and can be taken fully online or in the classroom which is a full day course and incorporates 7 guided learning hours.
This is a level 2 course for general food hygiene training for people working directly with food. We also offer a level 1 course that covers the basics of food safety.
Health and Safety Awareness Level 2
This course is aimed at anyone who requires a course in health and safety awareness. It is designed to meet the Health and Safety regulations and covers regulations, precautions, planning, risk assessing, PPE, individual sectors, what causes accidents, employer/employee responsibilities, RIDDOR, COSHH, first aid, workstation/VDU safety, working at heights, gas safety, occupational health, infection control, electricity, enforcement and the dangers and links in the regulations in fire and manual handling.
This course is available fully online or as a one day classroom based course.
Safe Moving and Handling level 2
This course is aimed at anyone who requires a course in manual handling and is ideal for all workplace requirements. The course is designed to meet the requirements and recommendations of the HSE Manual Handling Regulations 1992.
Correct manual handling training will reduce the risk of accidents occurring by identifying and preventing them. Manual handling is not difficult to learn but can save a lot of problems for employers and employees. This course covers the moving of objects, but we also have online and classroom courses for the Moving and Positioning of People.
Risk Assessment Level 2
Risk Assessment is a trainer led course that is delivered over a full day. The course aims are to give an understanding of the importance of risk assessment and current applicable legislation, to promote awareness and understanding of what constitutes a hazard, to promote understanding of the 5 steps of carrying out a risk assessment, and to give an understanding of different control measures and how these might be implemented. By the end of this session, candidates will understand the importance of risk assessment and current applicable legislation, understand what constitutes a hazard, understand the hierarchy of controls, and be able to carry out a risk assessment.
This qualification is designed to be an introduction to the principles of Risk Assessment. It covers why risk assessments are necessary, the legal requirements relating to risk assessments and simple processes for carrying out a risk assessment. It is suitable for learners working in any environment who need to be more risk aware by raising their knowledge of risk in the workplace and basic things they can do to control it.
Control of Substances Hazardous to Health – COSHH Level 2
Control of Substances Hazardous to Health or COSHH regulations apply to any substance that could cause injury or illness to someone and covers most work places. If you are dealing with chemicals, even paints and toilet cleaning chemicals or creating anything that could damage someone you are responsible under COSHH.
This ProTrainings level 2 course covers all the basics and is ideal for all members of staff either as induction training or regular training to ensure that everyone knows what the rules are and how to keep safe. In the course we cover all aspects of COSHH including the latest CPL regulations.
RIDDOR
The Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 1995 (RIDDOR) have been amended as of 6 April 2012, RIDDOR’s over-three-day injury reporting requirement has changed. The trigger point has increased from over three days’ to over seven days’ incapacitation (not counting the day on which the accident happened). Incapacitation means that the worker is absent or is unable to do work that they would reasonably be expected to do as part of their normal work.
This course gives basic training of RIDDOR and how businesses need to plan and follow the rules of the HSE in respect of accident reporting and notification to the HSE.
Slip, Trips and Falls training is required in most workplace to identify where employee’s can get hurt. Understanding the risks of these easy to identify problems will result in less unnecessary injuries at work. This course is ideal for any workplace as the risks can be applied to any environment.
This ProTrainings qualification is suitable for learners wishing to improve their knowledge of the importance of customer service including how to satisfy customers’ expectations. It is designed for learners who deal with customers on a daily basis as part of their job role and is applicable to a variety of work environments.
